Family owned and operated, Clayton Cottage has provided high-quality residential care, accommodations and person-centered service options to residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities of the San Gabriel Valley for nearly 35 years. Our team has designed unique programs to provide the highest quality of care and attention to each resident that chooses to call one of our licensed residential care facilities his or her home.
It is our belief that all aging adults and developmentally challenged persons must be treated with respect and dignity. At Clayton Cottage, each resident has the opportunity to live and participate in a lifestyle that provides them with access to a variety of environments and activities that one would naturally expect to find within their community.
A highly-individualized, person-centered approach is utilized to assist residents in reaching their maximum potential in a community-based living environment, and to also meet the special and intensive needs of each individual across all areas and settings in which the resident will require support and assistance.
A positive team approach, to include the individual, family members and significant others in each resident’s life, provides the foundation for assisting he or she in identifying their hopes and dreams for the future, goals and objectives, communication barriers, and any social and/or overt behavioral challenges that have prevented them from reaching their hopes and dreams in the past.
Clayton Cottage strives to assist each resident to empower themselves, and to learn and develop the skills necessary to successfully participate in their home, social, educational, and recreational community environments.
